Legal Question in Personal Injury in New Jersey

I am a home owner. I fell and broke my leg inside my own home. Had surgery and have been unable to work for 12 weeks. I have health insurance and have been collecting $100 weekly from disability during unemployment. I asked my homeowners insurance if I am eligable for any compensation and they said no. A few people told me I can sue my insurance company for medical expenses, lost income and pain and suffering. Is this possible?
