Legal Question in Personal Injury in New Jersey

I got hurt at work

I got hurt at work in October 2006 I tripped backward over a pallet jack with and empty pallet on it being pulled by another employee. I slammed the back of my head on the steel shelves. My head actually bounced. I was all bruised on my should and my head was cracked open. No ambulance was called instead my boss took over by a drainage area and squirted my head with a hose to see how bad it was and then she took me to the hospital an hour later as I sat bleeding then in the ER the DR was such and idiot that he at first wasn't going to stitch me until my blood started squirt at him. He then told me that I had appoximately 6 stitches that I didn't need to worry about because they were dissolvable. (They weren't). Now I have pain in my neck and I am undergoing epidoral shots for the pain. Do you think I have a case?

Re: I got hurt at work

I think that you definitely have a workers compensation case. We can also look to see if you have a case against anyone else as well. We have 5 attorneys who do nothing except handle these types of cases and would be happy to discuss the case with you. There is no fee unless there is a recovery and normally the majority if not all of the fees are paid by the insurance carrier. Please call my associate Maurice Nadeau at 800-34-NJ-LAW to discuss this matter. Best wishes.

Re: I got hurt at work

You definitely have a case. In all probability, you have a workers' compensation case against your employer. Depending on the facts, there may be another guilty party (i.e., say a contractor was on the premises with the pallet). You cannot sue your employer for injuries at work, but you are entitled to workers' compensation. You should contact our offices at your earliest convenience. We can help you or get you to someone to help you.
