Legal Question in Personal Injury in New Jersey
Noncompletion of Work
I paid my lawyer in full but he has never completed the work he was paid to do even though he promised me he would. This has gone on since January. I have contacted him but to no avail, he doesn't respond. What do I do now? He took the final payment and cashed the check immediately but never finished the work. What recourse do I have?

Re: Noncompletion of Work
Oh, boy. Not good. Lawyers, like everyone else, should do what they say they will do. And leaving a job uncompleted is not right.
You have some options. You have given very little information, so you would really need to discuss this in detail for any lawyer to try to guide you.
No one is perfect. But leaving a client in a bad situation is never the right way to do things.
If you would like me to assist, please call my office. I am in Hackensack. A half hour consultation will be $75.00. You can then decide how you would like to proceed.
