Passenger in car accident

I was a passenger in a auto accidnt this past feb. I was injured severely and I have a lawyer but I just needed this answered. My friend was driving his fathers car and ran a stop sign onto coming traffice. The van hit the passenger side of the car and the car was put into a pole. I had brain injury, kidney and liver damage, loss of vision, I was on life support for 3 weeks and I wasn't having a my health in the right direction. It was found out that my friend didnt have a liscense and the witnesses saw him drive by the stop sign. I am being told that there is a law that is prohibiting me from going after the father of the kid, i just need to know if I can only take a settlement or if I can get what I truely deserve for all my loss?

You will be getting insurance from the car..that covers the father and the son.

Re: Passenger in car accident

You can go after both, but if they are covered by the same policy, they are defended together..

Should you like to discuss this or any other legal matter you can e-mail me for more information about low cost face-to-face, on-line or a telephone consultation with a lawyer in our office.
