Legal Question in Personal Injury in New Jersey

Personal Injury Accident

Some time ago I was the passenger in an auto accident

that occurred in NJ. I had significant ijuries, was treated at the hospital. Am I covered under driver's insurance of the auto I was in? Or the other auto? What about civil liability? What should I do with the medical bills received? I do not have any insurance of any kind. thank you.

Your medical bills will be covered either by your insurance or the insurance that you were in. You must make an application to the insurance carrier to receive those benefits.

With respect to your injuries, an evaluation must be conducted to determine who is responsible for the accident. If you have been seriously injured you will be entitled to be compensated for those injuries.

My office provides a Free Consultation. I have offices in Harrison and Newark, New Jersey. If necessary, I can come out to you if you are unable to travel at this time.

Re: Personal Injury Accident

Thank you for your inquiry.

I definitely believe that you have a claim to recover money for your injuries. However, the very big issue here is how long ago the accident happened, because you have two years from the date of the accident to file a law suit. Therefore, it is very important that you move on this right away.

As it would be my pleasure to speak to you regarding your potential law suit, please feel free to contact my office at 732 246 0909 to discuss same.

Very truly yours,

Edward R. Weinstein

Re: Personal Injury Accident

As a passenger, your medical expenses would be covered under the driver's insurance coverage, unless a member of your household has auto insurance. If it was a two car accident, both your driver and the driver of the other car would be responsible for the pain, suffering and disability that occurred as a result of your injuries, depending, in part, a] on who was at fault for causing the accident and b] the nature of your injuries. If you would like to discuss this further, please feel free to call me at 973-635-5400 or e-mail us @ [email protected]
