Legal Question in Personal Injury in New Jersey
other's personal injury
My friend has received letters claiming their client injured himself in their restaurant lot. They do not own the land or building, the owner gave my friend's name and address. It was also Christmas and the rest. was closed. Besides, the person looking for compensation, also rented an apartment in the same building and parked in the back lot. Do they have a worry?Do they need a lawyer if it is the building owner's responsibility?

Re: other's personal injury
If one does not own the building or the land and his business is closed I see no theory for a lawsuit. A business invitee is entitled to a safe
environment, but a fellow tenant sharing the use of
building parking should look to the building owner. Unfortunately, a cautious lawyer is going sue every possible defendant.
