Legal Question in Personal Injury in New Jersey
In a traffic accident the insurance company is suing for x amount of dollars for their insured incurred. do they have to bring a medical expert during the trial proving the amount of medical neccessity for the amount they paid out or is it enough just to prove that they paid out the amount?

If the action is against you by an insurance company to recover money the paid to their insured, this is called subrogation . The insurance company must prove the amounts paid were reasonable and why. For example, if they paid for repairs to an auto, they have to prove what was repaired and why. The costs must be reasonable. This is true of medical bills or payments for injuries as well.
