Legal Question in Product Liability in New Jersey
In NJ, my uncle disposed of some powder from a drum in business he had just bought. There was no labeling on the drum. It turned out to be a low grade hazardous material. The state of NJ is suing him and his company. Can he be held personally liable for this if he had no knowlege it was hazardous waste? He is the owner of the corporation.
