Legal Question in Product Liability in New Jersey
My wife purchased a box of candy for my daughter for valentines day. When my daughter was eating the candy she grabbed a piece of jagged plastic from inside the box. I contacted the manufacturer and they told me it sounded like a piece of plastic from the trays that they use broke off and fell into the box.
Is there any legal recourse I can take against the company? They offered to send me coupons for free candy but I told them that I wasnt interested.
Please advise as to whether this is a matter that is worth pursuing.
