Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

I kept an abandoned car in a paid-parking lot for several years. The car belongs to a friend of mine but I lost a contact with him since he went back to his own country (a foreign country) and left the car behind. I am currently living in NJ. The car was titled in Pennsylvania and currently has not been registered for a long time. The car needs some fixes for a proper operation. To my standard, it is not a junk car.

I would like to know if it is possible to transfer title to my ownership. If not possible, then I am also interested in other ways how to get rid of the car.
