Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

Addition to House

If my mother-in-law paid for an addition to my house (sold her old house) and she is not on the deed, she is living in that addition, can someone put a lein on my house in her name, like if she needs to go to a home can the home put a lein on the addition if she runs out of money.
