Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey
Based on New Jersey law if 3 people inherit a property and one of those people are in debt are the creditors allowed to apply liens to the entire property or only the debtor's share? More specifically the house is being sold. Are the creditors allowed to subtract money from the other 2 share to pay the debt of the 1/3 owner?

The creditor can only reach the share of the debtor, unless the property was collateral for the debt.
