Can a buyer of house give back months later after payment and ask for return of money?

Generally no. There are exceptions if the buyer can prove fraud or a few other major defects in the process. However, if the buyer is merely unsatisfied with something in the house, there are no grounds for a rescission. It is commonly said that the representations and warranties of the contract "merge into the deed". That means that by accepting the deed and paying the sale price, the buyer has accepted the property with any defects that it may have.
