if you bought a house and it was not revealed to you that a registered sex offender lived in your area is there anything legally you can do about it.

Disclosures about where sex offenders live is permitted only to homeowners in the area. Since you did not own the home until you completed the purchase, disclosure to you would have been impermissible.

Yes, I know it's a catch-22.
