I am in the process of starting a commercial real estate investing company, but need to know which is better - an LLC or a Corp for holding commercial property?

In most cases, an LLC is the best form of entity for holding real estate. It is simple to set up, the accounting is straight forward, and the liability protection is equal to that of an S Corp. Buying real estate in an LLC or S corp. can be more difficult on the lending side. Be sure to speak to your lender before you decide to go under agreement in an LLC.

Legally it does not matter. They both protect you from inidividual liability. Ask your accountant the best from a tax standpoint. My firm specializes in Real Estate. If you need help or advise on any real estate transaction, please contact me.
