Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

Courtesy Laws

A group of block residents seek information regarding existing Courtesy Laws, including, but not limited to, curfews, noise control, disruption of the peace, etc. The noise level coming from one residence on the block is unbearable. Do any laws exist to keep the peace in residential neighbors, and if so, how would we go about bringing charges against the guilty party?

Most municipalities have ordinances (which are the laws of the town) covering these issues. A trip to the municipal building and a visit with the clerk will answer your questions.
