Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

My dad left me & my 3 siblings a vacation house. I would like to be bought out and have my name taken off the deed. We are getting appraisals so we know how much the house is worth. My question to you is I do not use the summer home at all. My 2 Siblings use the house for their vacations during the year. They paid the taxes & utilties.I feel I should not have to pay any of that if I am not using the house at all.Do I take into consideration the monies that they used to pay taxes & utilties in the last couple of years, or should that have nothing to do with the price of the buyout?????

You should get paid by them for your share of the property. Right now. Sharing of expenses compared to use of the property...this is a bit unclear, because it sounds like you have an agreement with them for them to pay it because they use it.

You need a lawyer to sit down with you and give you some advice.

I can explain things in detail in person after we talk. I will explain what legal issues I see, and what I can do to assist you. I will also give you my best estimate of the cost for attorney's fees.

This will be a free consultation. After we talk, you can decide what you would like to do.

Give me a call, make an appointment to come see me, and let's get moving on this for you. No charge for the telephone call and no charge for the first office visit.
