Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

dead or alive???

I've been recently sued by a family living in Canada (I have their presumed address) over a property I own in Romania. These people used to own the house previous to me. I've heard though, that at least one of them is decesed, if not both.

How do I find out if they are both alive or not?

You might do some internet research first - using one of the addressbook sites - using the names and address you have. You might also want to check telephone information for the number given. You do not explain the nature of the suit and your claim of legitimate ownership. If the property is in Rumania, why not check with an attorney there on the internet, to check local records.
