Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

I am filing a small claims dispute to recoup my security deposit back from an apartment complex that is an organized as an LLC with owners out of state. My question is to whether the apartment complex itself would be listed as the defendant or should the owners of the complex.

The landlord who is named in the lease is the proper defendant.
