Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

I live in NJ and was served a Sherrifs notice for foreclosure. I received the original "complaint " in May 2009 and I filed an answer. However, since that time, the servicer who filed the complaint sold my mortgage to BAC last March 2010, and I suppose to receive a mod package which I never did.

If the loan or service company changed , is the original complaint still valid?

I was on employment due to layoff for almost 2 yrs. is there any help for me now?

Its still valid. Check with the court where the suit was filed for assistance.
