Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

I own a home in which there is a common alleyway inbetween mine & the neighbors. 17 yrs ago mother & the neighbor went 1/2 on a gate to prevent undesirables going into the alley, 1/4 of the gate is bolted into my house & 3/4 of the actual gate that you gain entry is on the other side. therefore when you walk down on my side, you must stop because of the solid portion that prevents you from continuing & go onto the other side thru gate. next door is now owned by dr. who removed lock & said we are trespassing. he replaced sidewalk removing property symbol identifying where my property stops & now has alot of people walking thru alley on my side to get to office in the basement. the side of his house protrudes over his portion of the alley making people go on my side, if not they must duck to avoid smaking into it. can i remove solid part of gate & run fence down alley so as to make these people walk sideways to get into the back. i never recieved note that when the house was sold, there would be a dr.'s office, also the nerve i was asked by recptionist if people can block my driveway if they can't find parking...i'm at my wits end here & can't afford surveyors, legal & court fees. i went thru custody matters already & nearly depleted my assets. please help if you can

I understand your problem, and have helped many people with problems like this, including one in Nutley not too far from Rt 21.

You need a lawyer to help you deal with this. This doctor is very selfish, and he will have a serious problem if you fight back. That would probably not be wise for him, nor for you.

Please give me a call. The telephone discussion will be free of charge, and I will let you know what I believe I can do to assist you further.

I am fairly close to you, in Hackensack, Bergen County, New Jersey. My contact information can be obtained from the links below, just click on the Attorney Profile link. Let my secretary know you found me through LawGuru.
