Soon to be homeless!

I received a letter from my landlord on 3/18/00.that

I had to move out of the house I've been renting for

8yrs. I have until June 1,2000. to vacate the property

they didn't give a reason why. We've heard through the

grapevine the are knocking the house down to build

warehouses.What can I do? I have four kids,theres no

way I can find anything in 70days. I've been looking

to purchased a home but the closing will never be by

June 1,2000.

Everything depends upon what your lease says as well as what's in the letter your landlord sent you. There may well be defenses to your eviction and if so, a strongly worded letter from an attorney may at least buy you some time. Contact me with your phone number so that we can discuss further.
