Homeowner Associations
I belong to a homeowners association whose committees have closed meetings. Their minutes are available at the community office but they forbid publishing them on our members-only website. Are these legal? Where can I find out more about the laws governing homeowners associations?

The best and first place to check is to look at the documents that formed the homeowner association, which you should have received when you purchased your home. There should be a Declaration and Bylaws. These would describe how meetings are to be held, how decisions should be made, voting rights of owners, and your other rights and obligations.
If decisions are being made that seem to be outside the authority of the association, or not in conformity with the rules in the association documents, you should consult with a local attorney who regularly handles homeowner association matters.
