Leases After A Fire
After an aparment complex fire, is the landlord obligated to honor existing leases, provided the tenant returns the security deposit?

Answer depends upon language of lease and extent of the fire. Usually, without reading the lease, the landlord must repair and replace and the lease continues until its term ends. However, many leases say that if the repairs may take longer than a certain period the lease can be terminated. I would need to see the lease to more accurately advise you.
