Re: Liens

Have a local title company run a search for mortgages, liens and judgments, which will run about $150. You do not say what type of lien you suspect may be of record, how or why it was created? If it is legitimate, you can only get out of it by payment or negotiation with the lien holder to release it. If it is not a legitimate lien, you will probably have to bring a suit to clear the title.
