Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

I live in a home that my mother and dad bought for me. My dad died and my mom now has dementia, she gave PoA to my uncle and he told me that he may have to sell the house I live in. Can he really do this when the house is in her will to be left for me?

That depends in large part on whose name is on the deed. If you are the title (deed) owner, the house is yours and it would be difficult for anyone to show otherwise. However, if the house is in your parents' name, you would have to sue to get title and prove that you are the equitable owner.

My firm handles matters of this type. If I can be of further help to you, call or email.
