money left in escrow
when i sold my house in jan 2006 i left 500.00 in escrow for the filter on the pool they had till may of 2006 to open the pool myself nor my lawyer have ever got a bill for the pool filter we have gone back and forth on different items but never the pool filter i just recieved a letter sent to me from my lawyer from the buyers lawyer stating he released the money in escrow to the buyer i want to know do all parties have to agree before money can be released what is the propper way of handling money in escrow

this is the kind of small nightmare that lawyers hate.
the buyer's lawyer had a job: to hold the $500 until everyone agreed on what to do with it: either hand it back to you because the pool was fine, or hand part of it (or all of it) to buyers to pay for repairs that YOU agreed would need to be done.
your attorney does not want to deal with it because the amount is small, and your attorney will not get paid for his efforts.
