Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

I am part of a HOA for a condo complex in NJ. We had a foreclosure in Dec 2009. Unfortunately, we did not place a lien on the property prior to foreclosure. Is there any way to collect back condo dues (PRIOR to the date of foreclosure) from the bank? They ARE paying dues going forward. Thanks.

You are not entitled to HOA dues from the bank until the time that the bank became the title owner. You could collect the dues from the former owner through a suit if there is money there. See also: http://info.corbettlaw.net/lawguru.htm
