Is a private school considered private property?

Also if protesters are in the parking lot of a private school, can the police be called to escort them off the premises?

Thank you for your LawGuru question. A school is not property, it's an institution or organization. If a private school owns property, it is regarded as private property. And owners of private private are not obligated to permit protests on the property. Protesting without consent would, in essence, constitute trespass. Whether the police will act or whether a court order is required to stop protests depends on various factors.
