What is the difference, if any, between the terms Joint Tenant not as Tenants-in-Common and Joint Tenants with Right of Survivorship?

Re: property deed

There is no difference. Both are legalese overkill for "joint tenants." Joint tenancy carries with it as an essential attribute the right of survivorship and is distinct from a tenancy in common which does not. Lawyers sometimes write it that way as the equivalent of saying "joint tenants and we really mean it."
