Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

wHAT DOES IT MEAN?

Please read the folloiwng ..

''All portions of this claim should be assumed valid unless disputed within thiry(30) days of receiving this notice. If you notify this office in writing within thirty (30) days that any porton of this claim is disputed, including any instrument tendered as full satisfaction of a disputed debt, this office will obtain verification of the claim and provide you with a copy by mail''

I got a notice a month ago, and it is not even a month, I got another late payment adding to that! I did mail out the letter 2 days after, but the office said they didnt receive it, then I fax them yesterday, it is still within 30 days, why would I be charged another late payment again!?

What is my right? Can they go on charging people even within 30 days? please advise

Re: Debt collector language

This is standard language used by debt collectors and has nothing to do with an obligation to pay late fees. Their right to collect same is controlled by applicable law and the contract between the parties. Keep in mind that this advice is based purely on the little bit of information that you have given to me. There certainly may be other factors that would change my opinion. Further, no one can rely on advice from an attorney who has not been retained. Since it appears that you have not retained an attorney, you may want to contact an attorney (either me or someone else) to discuss your matter in more detail. Only then will you be

able to rely on the advice. If you call me, [856-546-8010] mention Law Guru and your first one hour consultation will be free. Good luck! Rob Gleaner
