Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

Realestate law

My husband and I recently closed on a townhouse 7/3/2007. We signed all nescessary paperwork and then 1 week later our attorney called us and told us that we owed him $1113 more because our monthly payments to the association has been estimated and now we owe them more money. They want us to come to their office ans sign a revised HUD-1 form 1 week after we have closed. Is this allowed?

Re: Realestate law

I'll assume that your attorney told you that the number was estimated at closing.

I'll also assume that one of the documents you signed indicated you would assist in correcting any errors or omissions from closing.

I'll also assume your attorney was looking out for your interests.

Good luck to you.
