Re: Reverse mortgages
You should have legal representation in most transactions. The exceptions are (1) if you are very experienced at a particular transaction and know what you are doing and (2) if the transaction is unimportant to the extent that you would not lose any sleep if it were to be completely botched or if you were deceived. If your situation doesn't fit in those exceptions (and it probably doesn't), consult with a lawyer.

Re: Reverse mortgages
You should consult a lawyer BEFORE you commit yourself to a reverse mortgage.
Some reverse mortgages are legitimate and fill a need of elderly homeowners, but other reverse mortgages may cost you lots of money, cause you to lose a lot of your equity in your home, may even take over title to your home without your knowing it, etc.
