sale of home

i have inherited half of my parents home my neice the other half. if i sell my half to my neice will i be responsible for any closing fees, or any other fees pertaining to this sale.

You can negotiate any arrangement that you want. By convention, the seller pays certain taxes and fees, but you can negotiate those so long as they are paid. The important point is that you retain a mortgage until everything is paid to you. Sometimes people neglect that in family transfers and that is very bad business. For more reasons than I have room here to explain, you should retain a mortgage unless you are to receive the entire amount due to you in cash.

You should bargain with them, and they may agree to pay this.

An attorney would be a great help to you, to negotiate for you, and draw up the necessary legal documents.
