Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

I am selling a house. During the Home Inspection period, the buyer asked for a $5000 credit at settlement in lieu of providing a list of repairs. I offered $2500 and the buyer said no, I offered $3000 and buyer said no and then signed a foorm to release him from the Contract. I then agreed to the $5000 but the broker said since the buyer signed the release the deal is dead and the buyer is now shopping for another proerty. I have not sgned any release. Further, the buyer never presented a list of rprairs requested within the 10 day period. What is my recorse? Is the deal dead? Is the contract void if only one party signs a release? Can I have a judge force the buyer to complete the deal?

If you provide me with copies of the documents (contract, release, etc.), I can give you an informed opinion of your options.
