Does a landlord have the right to show a property prior to the end of a lease?

My understanding is that it depends upon what the lease provides. No automatic right under NJSA, perhaps under NJAC but would require a bit of research.

Depends upon the language of the lease. This is usually allowed, but only near the end of the lease. Showing the house cannot interrupt your tenancy, and usually requires you be there at convenient times. You cannot arbitrarily refuse to show it, if the lease allows. If no lease, same rules apply.
