If you were to file a new suit, the limiting period would be six years. In many situations there are ways to extent the limiting period. However, if the distribution was to be made in accordance with a court order, it may not be necessary to file a new suit. Depending on the history of the case, it may only be necessary to apply to the court for enforcement of the order that has already been issued. That is a faster and much less costly process.
