Can The Tax Assessor Office come to inspect the interior of your home to determine your tax assessment for that year?

Yes, as the assessment is based, in part, on such things as number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms, a fireplace, etc., that can only be viewed and determined upon a personal inspection. Of course, you may deny access, but then if your house is overassessed you may not be able to contest the assessment since you refused admittance.
