Legal Question in Securities Law in New Jersey
theft on private property
my car was broken into at the gym and my wallet with EVERYTHING in it was stolen. 200 dollars cash. I had a rental car too and enterprise is charging me 500 to fix the lock. This has been happening for a few months now at my gym and I wanted to know if the owner is somewhat responsible. He has done nothing to prevent or catch the thief. Many people have had this happen to them. Can the owner be held responsible being he owns the parking lot and there are no signs up saying he is not resposible for theft?
