Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in New Jersey
Male child harassing my child at school
My daughter is 8 years old - another 8 year old boy has been passing comments to her in school & in the aftercare program. Thing like ''Joe wants to have sex with you'', ''Look at my balls''(while putting tennis balls down his pants), Makes reference to sexual organs - her vagina, boobs, his or other boys balls. I have brought it to th eattention of the principal - she is working with me but I just want to know do I have further steps I cna take should this not stop. His parents do not seem to be taking much action. THis started last year and I though tit was a one off thing - but I was obviously wrong. Just looking for some advice. The principal has now made demands of his parents (which I am not privvy to due to the Privacy act) - but I am not sure this is going to stop. Just want to know what my options are.

Re: Male child harassing my child at school
Among other options, you could do any or all of the following:
1. File criminal charges with the police against the offending child; the offending child's parents; and/or the school.
2 File a civil complaint (i.e. a lawsuit) against the child; the child's parents; and/or the school.
Everything that is going on should be well documented. You need to retain an attorney immediately to advise you, as your child could suffer serious psychological damage as a result of this harassment and abuse.
I strongly recommend that you consult with an attorney immediately so that you can explore your legal rights, obligations, and options. If you wish to discuss retaining my services, contact me at:
