Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in New Jersey
I was summoned a sexual harrassment charge for sending sexual pictures to an ex-girlfriend by mistake, because my present girlfriend has the same name and when my cell phone company transferred my information from my old phone over to my new one, the ex-girlfriends phone number was added also under that same name as my present girlfriend. Not realizing that the pictures I was sending unfortunately were sent to that of my ex-girlfriends cell phone, she (the ex-girlfriend) called me and we got into an arguement, in which I told her they were sent to the wrong number accidentally and the phone called ended. My question is, is would I be getting any jail time for this, eventhough it was done accidentally???
1 Answer from Attorneys
Much depends on how you handle these charges. I suggest you get an attorney ASAP. The court may force you to get one anyway. Feel free to call me at 732/773/2768. While every case is different, I had a case like this and I kept my client out of jail.
