Legal Question in Social Security Law in New Jersey

survivor benefits

My 4 children & I receive survivor social security benefits. I want to file for energy assistance, it asks for income for all over 18. They are all minors, do I include their amounts as my earnings?

Re: survivor benefits

It is best to contact that particular energy assitance program and ask them what their guidlines consider countable income. Perhaps you could re-check the application form to see if it defines "income."

My guess is that it wants to know ALL household finacial resources.
