is a minor entitled to the survivor benefits that are sent to a guardain?

how is a minor able to access survivor benefits sent to a guradian?

Re: survivor benifits for minors

A guardian of a child has a fiduciary duty regarding the child's funds. State law controls what a guardian can do.

However, if this person is receiving Social Security as a representative payee for the child, Social Security Regulations also say what can be done with the child's money.

If there is any suspicion of mis-appropriation of the funds, have the child contact a local lawyer and the Social Security Admin.
