Legal Question in Tax Law in New Jersey
Real Estate-
I rec'd 4 tickets for my fences. I have a permit to install fences from the township where i live. The permit is good for 1 year. WHen we proceed to prepare the ground for the installation of new ones . A neighbor that does not like me Called the township complaining about everything he can. This stopped our project. Till this April when i knew our Permit was going to expire so we proceeded again with installing new fences. Were going to replace the rotted metal ones with wood ones. When we finished the nieghbor called again. The zoning officer came yelling at my husband for putting these up. I was issued 4 tickets for the fences. (1)sight obstruction (the oridance says the sight obstruction is at the corner)I am a interior lot so does this ticket get thrown out. and it requires a 5 ft set back I am not on a corner) i only abut one street and there is a house on the corner then it is my house. Then #(2) is no 6 ft fences in a side yard. BUT there is a exception. only if the commom property line is 7 1/2 feet The next property is a driveway that is not in use, The the other side is my property. (3) he stated i was obstructing the drainage with my pavers(actually it improved the drainage) and the pavers were there to hold in my dirt

Re: Real Estate-
Without reading your Town's fence Ordinance, I cannot accurately answer your question. If you followed the Ordinance, your neighbor may not like the fence, but there is nothing the neighbor can do. If tickets have been issued, there is a possibility you are not complying with the language of the Ordinance. More information needs to be supplied along with the Ordinance to provide a better reply.
