Legal Question in Tax Law in New Jersey

Tax returns even when W-2 is not there

Hi,

I am working in US as a consultant on H1B visa. My company assured me that they will file my Tax returns, but they didn't even gave the W-2 form. Now the date has expired, I can't file my tax returns even with extension. I don't know, what I should do? Is there any other possible alternative with which I can file my taxes.

Please advise.

Re: Tax returns even when W-2 is not there

If you have a pay stub which shows the gross earnings and state and federal taxes withheld, you can file a return using this information to complete the return. You would attach the stub to the return in lieu of the W-2, reporting to IRS and NJ that the employer failed to provide the form W-2. If you need help in preparing the return, call me at 973-3773313.
