Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey
1. what is the procedure for an indigent person to obtain a free copy of a municipal court proceeding that the indigent person was a defendent in ( for a person already deemed indigent)
2. what are the required circumstances that must be met for an indigent person to be
able to obtain a free copy of their municipal court proceding( for a person already deemed indigent)

You can make a request with the court to "view" your court transcript, and under OPRA they must allow you to see the record, but they are not required to make you free copies. A decision was just handed down last week that limits the amount a municipality may charge for copies (I believe it is 10 cents per page).
