Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

My 17 year old son got a speeding ticket (his first) for going 14 miles over the speed limit can I bargain down the points at all? We live in New Jersey.

Actually no. Since he is provisional, you cannot get a 0 point ticket. Unless you want to pay a lot of money to take the case to trial, there isn't much else an attorney can do for you.

If your son only has a provisional license, then there is not much you can do, unless you can delay the case until he turns 18, which has been done, but is difficult to do, most Courts are not willing to delay a case for that long.
