If you received a summons for allegedly being uninsured and have the documents you have indicated, especially the letter from your auto insurance carrier, the prosecutor will probably offer to amend the ticket to (39:3-29), failure to produce a valid insurance card which is only a fine, I believe it is $143.00 roughly plus court costs. You can discuss the possibility of getting it dismissed but they do not always agree to do that. Again if you have the info that you need to prove that the car was covered you should be able to work it out. feel free to call with any questions (201)-894-9498
