Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey
Please advise,
I got the ticket for 4-81 (failure to observ signal). It was intersection and traffic was moving slowly. There was a truck in front of me. I couldn't see the light. Once I crossed the while line then I realised that the light is amber. Then suddenly traffic was stoped and I had to stop in BLOCK Box. Should I go to court for plea of not guilty? Are there any extra charges if I go to court?

You could speak to the prosecutor and see if you can work out a deal. If you are not happy with it, you can go back another day with an attorney.
since the ticket carries 2 motor vehicle points, it pays to plead not guilty and go to Court to speak with the prosecutor, explain the situation to that person and see if he or she is willing to amend it to a no point violation. They will probably not be willing to dismiss it, but you never know. If you cannot work it out then you would have a trial in front of the Judge. If you can't work it out they would probably allow you to obtain an attorney, if you feel you need one. feel free to call with any questions (201)-894-9498
