Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

I was arrested 37yrs ago for marijuana possession and pleaded guilty. I lost my driver's license for 6months and paid a $125 fine. Since then I have had a clean record except for a speeding ticket 25yrs ago. I now hold a valid CDL and am in the process of obtaining a passenger and school bus endorsement, however after being fingerprinted for school bus I was denied because of the arrest. Is there any way of getting this expunged from my records or is there a statute of limitations.

The only way to get it removed from your record is to file an expungement proceeding. You can do it yourself with forms from the internet, but I would reccomend that you hire an attorney so it can proceed efficiently and quickly. If you want to discuss it further, pleaae call my office for a free initial consultation.

You can absolutely have it expunged. as one prior attorney said you can do it yourself by either downloading the info from the internet or getting it from the Court but it would probably prove easier with an attorney. If money is an issue call a number of lawyers and compare. I can certainly help you as can those who have replied. Please feel free to call if you like i never charge for a consultation (201)-894-9498
